The basis for the diet can be found on the Whole30.com website.
Basically, none of the following for March:
- No sugar or any other sweetener like honey, stevia, maple syrup, etc.
- No alcohol. (I love a nightly glass of red wine....this one is probably going to be the hardest!)
- No grains (wheat, corn, rice, oatmeal)
- No legumes (this will also be hard...no beans...but green beans and sugar snap peas are OK!)
- No dairy (ugh....there goes my daily yogurt and cheese fix)
- No carrageenan, MSG or sulfates
- No baked goods or junk food
I've spent some time planning out meals for the week and putting together a shopping list.
